Amersham-based passive component specialist VTM (UK) has purchased the components divisions of both Kestronics and Newsham Components, a wholly owned Kestronics company Both organisations will be integrated into VTM (UK)

For over 30 years, VTM (UK) has been a leading supplier of high quality passive components to OEMs and distributors in UK and Ireland and also offers a growing subassembly service.

Its product range will be complemented by an extensive selection of capacitors from Newsham Components and resistors, capacitors and optoelectronic components previously sold by the component division of Kestronics.

Newsham Components will continue to operate from its headquarters in Broughton near Preston, but the component division of Kestronics will be relocated from St.

Albans to Amersham where work is already underway to extend the warehouse.

There will be no job losses as continuity is a key part of the integration programme.

VTM (UK) Managing Director, Noel Hynes, explains: "This is an important and exciting acquisition and doubles the size of VTM (UK).

We believe that continuity with the existing sales personnel will be very important to our extended customer base".

"The strong franchise base of both Kestronics and Newsham complements VTM (UK)'s traditional product portfolio and we are now able to offer our customers a comprehensive range of passive components from a single source", he said.
