Onboard 16Mbyte memory stores up to 300 tests, sufficient for a full day's worth of testing.
A removable memory card is also included.
The DSP-4300's novel permanent link interface adapter (PLIA) eliminates false failures that frequently result from poor link interface adapters.
Adapter cords are known to be susceptible to wear and tear during use, contributing to return loss that can result in false failures.
These add unnecessary and expensive hours of troubleshooting and repeat testing.
The PLIA cost effectively eliminates this major source of false failures.
The standard DSP-4300 package also includes a Cat 6 channel adapter and a channel/traffic adapter, enabling Cat 6 channel limits to be tested with DSP accuracy.
Cabling faults are automatically diagnosed, giving the exact location in feet or meters.
The Cat 6/5e channel/traffic adapter supports traffic monitoring for basic network diagnosis and troubleshooting, a capability unique to the DSP-4300.
It also allows monitoring of network traffic for 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Ethernet, as well as detecting and measuring impulse noise.
In addition, the adapter helps to identify hub port connections and determines which standards are supported by those connections.
TIA-606A compliant cable IDs can also be downloaded to the DSP-4300, while advanced cable test management software packages allow test results to be quickly organised, edited, viewed, printed and saved.
Results can also be easily archived, for example by job site, customer or campus building and test results can be merged into an existing database and then sorted, searched and organised by any number of data fields or parameters.
