Simplified nets for small-to-medium enterprises
Wadsworth is now offering a range of telecomms access products that simplify loop connection of customer premises or cellular radio sites to the main telecommunications network.
This includes Gigabit Ethernet switches, smart switches and single- and dual-speed 10/100Mbit products.
The selection of managed switches, which covers stand-alone and stackable options for 10/100Mbit and Gigabit networks, includes the D-Link DGS-3208F stand-alone Gigabit switch designed for backbone attachment in networks such as departmental and campus installations.
It features eight 1000BASE-SX Gigabit ports, each using a SC connector for fibre-optic media.
Further advanced features such as VLAN, port aggregation, IP multicast and broadcast storm protectionare offered, allowing users to fine-tune performance and security settings.
Other switch products in the range include the DES12xx series of smart switches with VLAN and port trunking, ideal for segmenting networks into small, connected sub networks for superior performance.
These series offer 16- and 24-port 10/100Mbit/s switches with up to two optional Gigabit module slots to provide a high-bandwidth link to the server or the network backbone.
As well as switches, Wadsworth's D-Link family covers basic 10Base-T unmanaged desktop and rack mountable hubs from five to 24 ports, and dual speed 10/100Mbit switches.
Unmanaged switches include five-port mini-desktop models with external PSU, and extend up to the DES1024R+, a 24-port 10/100Mbit unmanaged rack mountable switch that allows users to plug any port to either a 10 or 100Mbit/s network to multiply bandwidths, boost response time and satisfy heavy load.
The D-Link range is conceived to satisfy diverse network requirements, and includes a wide variety of equipment types, configurations and options.
The full range is always available from Wadsworth, either from stock or by special order if necessary.
