Wavesat has released the Odyssey broadband wireless product family.

Powered by a revolutionary, multimode 4G architecture, the Odyssey family offers customers access to multiple broadband wireless technologies such as WiMAX Wave2, WiFi and XG-PHS as well as a seamless migration to future 4G technologies such as LTE.

The Odyssey chipset family is powered by a 4G multicore architecture, incorporating multiple ultra-low-power DSPs, offering high performance and low power consumption.

Odyssey's architecture is designed for high-performance broadband wireless applications, enabling a single wireless consumer device to support multiple standard wireless protocols and offer handset-class power consumption without compromising performance.

The Odyssey product road map includes highly integrated solutions combining a baseband processor, radio and memory on a single chip and supporting multiple standards including mobile WiMAX Wave 2, WiFi, XG-PHS as well as LTE.
