"Advances in Sensor Technologies" is a free one day seminar at the University of Warwick on the 8th February 2001 An automation system is entirely dependent on the sensors it uses in order to make the necessary control decisions
In recent months a large number of new developments have come onto the market which allow automation applications which were previously unviable.
Some examples of the technologies on display include: vision systems which no longer require complex PC-based controllers; laser gauges that can measure almost any geometric feature to very tight tolerances; co-ordinate measurement using robot arms; and electronic nose technology.
The seminar is suitable machine builders, systems integrators and end users with a need to stay in touch with developments in sensor technologies and their application.
