Web-Feet Research is hosting a full-day conference on nonvolatile memories in Munich, Germany, on Wednesday 10th November 2004.

"Mobility market - growth for memory and storage" will feature a panel with participants from Lexar Media, SanDisk, M-Systems, Samsung and Intel that are to investigate the impact of video in mobile terminals on the Flash memory market.

Web-Feet Research expects the mobility Flash market to grow from $10.5 billion in 2004 to $18.3 billion by 2008.

As Alan Niebel, President of Web-Feet Research notes: "Mobility video is an emerging segment of significance within the mobility Flash market".

"We expect the mobility video segment to reach $2.6 billion by 2008 as the applications develop along with the infrastructure".

The conference will be held at a convenient location within walking distance from the Electronica trade show which runs during that same week in Munich.

Morning sessions will focus on non-volatile memory components.

Storage cards and the panel session are topics for the afternoon.

Thus participants can mix and match a visit to the conference and Electronica (9th-12th November) on the same day.
