By developing its insulation displacement connection technology Weidmuller's new IDC2 terminal range has introduced faster installation in an even more compact rail-mounted terminal.
Further important features of the Weidmuller WDU 240 are the two- and three-pole external crossconnectors, which eliminate wire linking along the mounting rail and provide simple plug-in connection.
In addition, the WDU 240 offers an auxiliary connection, into which a smaller conductor may be connected to allow the safe and easy connection of instrumentation or control elements from the main incoming supply.
This is especially valuable, where instrumentation must remain connected, when main isolators are operated.
Weidmuller's WDU 240 is rated to 1000V/415A for 240mm2 cross-section conductors (VDE).
Conductor range is between 70 and 240mm2 for solid, stranded and flexible conductors, and ferrule-ended conductors to 185mm2.
