Compact power units expand to three phases

A Weidmuller (UK) product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jul 25, 2003

Weidmuller has added a three-phase 24V nonstabilised linear supply to its range of 24V single-phase compact power units.

Weidmuller has added a three-phase 24V nonstabilised linear supply to its range of 24V single-phase compact power units.

The competitively priced NT3 units offer six outputs between 250 and 1000W at 24V (11A to 42A at 40C), for standard input voltages of three-phase 400V AC, and feature very small dimensions (for 250W 85 x 84 x 188mm) and keyhole mountings for ease and speed of installation in switchgear cabinets.

The Weidmuller CPNT3 compact power units feature an integrated green LED indicator for operation indication, and a voltage dependent resistor, to protect against voltage spikes.

Primary circuit inputs use vibration-proof screw clamp terminals, and the secondary circuit has pluggable connectors.

The operational temperature range is -20 to +60C and the units are equipped with a thermostatic switch in the primary winding for protection against overheating.

The 600 to 1000W units are fitted with cooling fans; vertical or horizontal mounting is possible for optimum versatility.

All the compact power units are CE, UL and UR certified.

All three-phase units fulfil the standards EN61558 -2 -4 and -6, EN61131-2, EN60204, EN50081-1, EN61000-6-2, with protection against touching live parts to VDE0106 P.100 (VBG 4) and BGVA2; the power supplies correspond to protection class 1.
