Flameproof resistors handle up to 3.5kV

TT Electronics Welwyn Components is offering the MH series of UL approved flameproof resistors which gives an extensive resistance range of 100kohm to 1Mohm at 1% tolerance and a TCR of 100ppm/C.

Complying with the BSEN60065 approval, the metal film resistors are ideally suited to high voltage power supplies, motor speed control for domestic appliances, barrier resistors in televisions and capacitor bleed resistors.

John Graham, Marketing and Sales Director, Welwyn Components said: "Design engineers will find the resistors are especially suited for power applications where space is a premium but able to offer a high LEV".

The MH series is available in two standard sizes with limiting element voltages of 1.6 and 3.5kV with corresponding power ratings from 0.25 to 0.5W at 70C ambient.

They are rated for operation from -55 to +155C.
