The new structure offers the customer a personal point of contact from initial enquiry, giving support through to the end of the product lifecycle and on to the next generation.
The core unit objectives are to realise an optimal customer product solution in best time to market.
This is achieved with a refined service that encompasses: product realisation planning; process innovation; designed-in quality; proactive life management and next generation design.
The newly formed business unit provides solutions to many applications that cannot be achieved with standard packaged products.
From basic miniaturised circuits to complex multifunction packages, Welwyn uses substrates, interconnect and packaging technologies that bring reduced footprints, improvements in thermal management, reliability, durability, electrical and noise performance over competing discrete component systems.

This activity extends into full conformance and qualification testing meeting requirements across the MIL-STD sets, electrical test at extreme temperatures and vibration.
