Lopez to look after thermal solutions
In a move predicated by customer demand, Wells-CTI announced today that Senior Development Engineer Chris Lopez will oversee thermal solutions.
In a move predicated by customer demand, Wells-CTI announced today that Senior Development Engineer Chris Lopez will oversee thermal solutions.
The promotion brings a heightened focus to the company's thermal offering, specifically iSocket.
Lopez will manage the company's thermal programmes and see to it that customer satisfaction is more than just a credo.
"I look forward to the challenge".
"I will continue in my current role, but will be dedicated to addressing customer and programme needs related to Thermal Solutions", said Lopez.
Wells-CTI's i iSocket technology is dramatically changing how engineers view thermal management during device testing or burn-in.
iSocket intelligently measures and controls device temperature during semiconductor burn-in.
iSocket's control loop senses and reacts to the device's temperature, keeping it at a consistent temperature.
The technology resides in a fully self-contained subassembly that is a combination heater and heatsink that regulates a device to a desired temperature.
This prevents thermal runaway during burn-in and controls temperature variances in production burn-in applications.
"We are seeing great interest in our thermal offering and are planning accordingly to handle demand".
"We have added significant engineering resources as well as diagnostic and lab equipment to support thermal solutions, specifically our patented iSocket technology (or product line)", said Wells-CTI General Manager Bob Schmelzer.
