The DCT2500 is an enhanced version of the DCT2000 - the world's most widely deployed digital cable set-top box.
Enhancements in the DCT2500 include a faster processor and more memory enabling it to run more robust interactive applications more efficiently.

The Motorola DCT2500 digital set-top box offers industry-leading functionality for cable operators as well as end-users, including easy-to-use advanced programme guides and improved graphical user interfaces.
Support for multiple interactive television applications tied to programming such as sports, news, and game shows is now also possible through the incorporation of enhanced TV middleware features.
