A series of training courses during 2004 are aimed at engineers looking for a fast, cost-effective way to acquire the knowledge to build innovative next generation real-time applications.

Wind River has published its schedule of training courses for 2004 aimed at engineers looking for a fast, cost-effective way to acquire the knowledge to build innovative next generation real time applications Wind River is offering a series of workshops throughout 2004 to train engineers in the use of VxWorks real-time operating system, Tornado 2.2 development environment and its Tornado board support package (BSP)

The Tornado 2.2 for VxWorks 5.5 training workshops provides engineers with a fast, cost-effective way to acquire the knowledge necessary to develop real-time applications with Tornado.

The Tornado BSP training workshops provide engineers with a fast, cost-effective way to acquire the knowledge necessary to port VxWorks to customer hardware.

Courses due to take place in the first half of 2004 are as follows: 5th to 8th January, Tornado 2 BSP training; 26th to 29th January, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop; 23rd to 26th February, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop; 29th March to 1st April, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop; 5th to 8th April, Tornado 2 BSP training; 26th to 29th April, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop; 24th to 27th May, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop; and 28th June to 1st July, Tornado 2.2/VxWorks 5.5 training workshop.

Both courses take place every 2 to 3 weeks and typically run for up to four days and take place at Wind River's European training centre in Swindon, UK.
