a company specialising in Device Software Optimisation (DSO), has appointed Adrian Rayner as Regional Director for the North-West region.

Wind River has appointed Adrian Rayner as Regional Director for the North-West Europe region.

He joins from Spike Source, the open-source applications firm where he was European Vice President.

Rayner will be charged with continuing Wind River's successful sales operation across all product lines in North-West Europe - including UK, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

His extensive experience of working with innovative, software companies, including open-source products makes Rayner ideally suited to lead Wind River's North West European region.

Rayner explains: "Wind River's development in this region has been tremendous".

"However, we've only seen the tip of the iceberg for the device-software optimisation market".

"VxWorks remains the most robust, deterministic RTOS on the market".

"Our work with open-source and diagnostics tools is also propelling Wind River into brand new areas and I look forward to driving further successes across our product offerings".

"With Wind River's recent acquisition of FSMLabs and real-time Linux technology, it's an exciting time to be joining the team".

Rayner brings with him more than 15 years of experience in technology sales and has a diverse background of working to expand sales for leading software systems providers.

In his role as Regional Director he will report directly into Andreas Pabinger, VP EMEA.

Rayner continues: "Wind River has revolutionised the market more than once and I plan to build on its track record of unrivalled success".
