Willtek Communications has developed two new products to enhance the radio terminal testing capabilities of wireless service factories.

Willtek Communications has developed two new products to enhance the radio terminal testing capabilities of wireless service factories The new and enhanced 4920/4924 RF Shield Box and the 4923 RF Shield Audio Option will enable higher levels of testing in less time

These efficiencies in the testing process will be further enhanced by an improvement in the RF environment on measurement repeatability.

Overall, this will help to enhance the productivity and profitability of wireless service factories.

These accessories are available immediately.

"Willtek developed these new products in close co-operation with repair centres around the world to contribute to their efficiency goals", said Willtek CEO Cyrille Damany.

He continued, "This is part of our constant effort to analyse wireless testing processes and build solutions that help to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of our customers".

The enhanced version of the 4920/4924 RF Shield Box allows better access to the phone with an opening angle of nearly 90 degrees.

The lid either opens or is stable in all positions, avoiding the risk of hand injury.

Once shut, the lid stays in the closed position so that additional locks are not required.

Most importantly, the isolation has been dramatically increased, ensuring that measurements are not impacted by nearby basestations or phones.

A rear panel with additional connectors supports customisation for those applications requiring additional cable feedthrough, such as for control signals (RS232, USB), power supply and audio signals.

With the 4923 RF Shield Audio Option and the 4400 Series mobile phone tester, the audio components, including loudspeaker and microphone, buzzer and vibrator, can be reliably checked.

The throughput in manufacturing and service can now be increased by 20% with automated audio tests.

The solution allows parallel testing of radio and audio parts because the arrangement of audio test equipment has been chosen in a way that does not impact the RF measurements.
