Comments Matthias Weber, Willtek's Director of Product Marketing: "The go/no-go test solution for testing the Bluetooth interface, complements and integrates very well with Willtek's existing product portfolio of terminal test equipment".
"The simple and straight-forward solution demonstrates once again Willtek's focus on service customers' needs and requirements".
Repair centres previously tested the Bluetooth component of mobile phones using either an expensive and complicated test set designed for the development of Bluetooth devices, or a homemade and fault-prone solution.
Now, Willtek's Bluetooth connectivity test products offer a professional, commercially available and inexpensive solution in conjunction with Willtek's RF shielding devices and mobile phone test sets.
The combined Bluetooth and mobile phone test environment also saves phone shops time and money at the point of return.
The new 4941 Bluetooth connectivity hardware provides the physical connection to a Willtek tester or PC, and consists of a Bluetooth adapter, cables and a rear panel for one of Willtek's RF shielding devices.
An additional Bluetooth connectivity package provides software running either on one of the 4400 Series mobile phone testers or on the 3100 mobile fault finder.
The software quickly tests the Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone.
By integrating the additional check into the functional tests for mobile phones, manufacturers and service centres do not lose time for the additional Bluetooth go/no-go test.
Willtek's Bluetooth test solution comes at a time where Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones are becoming a commodity device.
The 4400 or 3100 along with the Bluetooth connectivity test package provides an economical solution for service centres who want to perform a complete functional test of a mobile device and all of its peripherals.
