David Milne, Managing Director of Wolfson Microelectronics, has been named as Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (Technology and Communication) at the Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
David Milne, Managing Director of Wolfson Microelectronics, has been named as Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (Technology and Communication) at the Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
The award, presented by Douglas Nisbet, Regional Managing Partner of Ernst and Young, is given in recognition of Milne's success in growing Wolfson Microelectronics into a leading international business supplying semiconductor ICs for audio, imaging, and touch-screen applications to the world's leading vendors.
Presenting the awards Nisbet commented: "These three awards are a positive sign that the technology industry in Scotland is in good shape and further, this as an encouraging indication that the future for technology in Scotland is looking bright".
Receiving the award David Milne said: "I am extremely proud to be recognised in this manner by my peers.
I see this award as an honour for both myself and all my hardworking, dedicated colleagues at Wolfson who are committed to making the company a worldwide success".
