Wolfson doubles turnover and moves into profit
Wolfson Microelectronics has revealed its results for the year ended 31st December 2002.
Wolfson Microelectronics has revealed its results for the year ended 31st December 2002.
Sales turnover was GBP 22.4 million, representing an increase of 100% from GBP 11.2 million for the year ended 31st December 2001.
Wolfson reported a profit on ordinary activities before tax of GBP 2.4 million for the year ended 31st December 2002 in comparison with a loss of GBP 0.7 million for the same period in 2001.
Announcing the results David Milne, Managing Director said, "Our target market environment remains extremely competitive; however, our sales teams have achieved a tremendous result with an impressive increase in the number of customers.
We are continuing working to improve our position by investing in new products and high quality personnel".
Dr Milne continued: "2002 was a year of significant growth in both sales and personnel.
We have expanded our sales and applications presence in North America and intend to continue to add to the team in the UK throughout the coming year".
