Wolfson to expand into new HQ
Wolfson Microelectronics has purchased new premises to house its corporate headquarters in Edinburgh.
Wolfson Microelectronics has purchased new premises to house its corporate headquarters in Edinburgh.
The building provides more than double the company's existing office space.
Wolfson's new headquarters, in the Murrayfield area of the city, will provide the company with around 4800m2 of office space, over 2600m2 more than the current Edinburgh base.
"The purchase of new premises in Edinburgh is part of our ongoing expansion programme that will afford us the space and opportunity to develop new products and services for our customers worldwide", said Wolfson CEO, David Milne.
"The new building will give us the facilities to expand our engineering, applications and test teams and provide an enhanced working environment for our existing employees".
The site will also give the company improved access to the national road network and public transport links as well as Edinburgh Airport, which recently announced a new scheduled service to run between the city and the USA.
Wolfson currently employs around 128 people in Edinburgh and expects to move them into the new HQ early in 2004.
The company also has offices in Japan, Taiwan and the USA.
