Enterprise management system to speed service
Customers worldwide will soon benefit from faster response times, accurate inventory information and applications data following Wolfson's investment in a new global enterprise management system.
Wolfson Microelectronics' customers worldwide will soon benefit from faster response times, accurate inventory information and applications data following the company's significant investment in a global enterprise management system from IFS.
The new management system, which will be operational this year, will link Wolfson's sales, supply chain management, manufacturing facilities and financial operations worldwide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the first time.
"As our business has developed we have become very aware of the need to respond quickly and accurately to our customer's enquiries.
This new system will give our sales offices worldwide access to pricing, availability and trading history information as required, without having to wait for the office in Edinburgh to open", said Wolfson's Managing Director, David Milne.
He added, "The unique component-based technology of IFS Applications has allowed us to configure a fully integrated business management solution that is tailored to our specific needs and which can be further developed as our business grows".
Alastair Sorbie, Managing Director at IFS commented, "We look forward to working with a highly professional customer, such as Wolfson, in a project which will further strengthen our position in the electronics sector".
