David Milne, CEO and Managing Director at Wolfson Microelectronics, has been elected to the FSA's inaugural European Leadership Council.

The newly formed council is comprised of CEOs from leading European fabless semiconductor companies.

"I very much welcome the expansion of the FSA's activities in Europe".

"The creation of a Leadership Council recognises the growing presence of successful fabless companies in Europe and will provide a focus for discussion of issues affecting the industry and an opportunity to share experiences".

"The FSA has made a great contribution to the development of companies in the USA and we will aim to repeat that success in Europe", commented Milne.

Jodi Shelton, FSA cofounder and Executive Director continued: "Leveraging the involvement of these executives in our European strategy underscores the global nature of the semiconductor industry and our mission of enabling global collaboration".

"The European Leadership Council is a vital link to our board of directors and when coupled with our Asia-Pacific Leadership Council provides strong thought leadership from different geographies to support FSA as we collectively address both global and regional issues".

The other members of the European Council include: David Baillie, CEO Cambridge Semiconductor; John Hodgso, CEO CSR; Svenn-Tore Larsen, CEO Nordic Semiconductor; Roland Pudelko, President and CEO Dialog Semiconductor; and Anthony Sethill, CEO Frontier Silicon.
