Wolfson Microelectronics has been presented with The President's Award 2005 by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, in recognition of outstanding business achievement.

Wolfson Microelectronics has been presented with The President's Award 2005 by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI), in recognition of outstanding business achievement.

David Milne, Wolfson CEO, accepted that award at a gala dinner held in Edinburgh on Friday night.

"Wolfson Microelectronics is a shining example of a company headquartered in Scotland, which has achieved remarkable growth through strategic expansion in international markets and product innovation", commented David Paton, President, at SCDI.

"The award is indicative of the high regard in which Wolfson is held both in Scotland and on the world stage".

"Wolfson is a most worthy recipient of the President's Award 2005".

"As an independent organisation, the SCDI carries out tremendous work strengthening Scotland's competitiveness and prosperity both at home and abroad and we are honoured to receive this prestigious award from our peers in Scotland's business community", said David Milne, CEO at Wolfson Microelectronics.
