Audio chip leads to Queen's Award

The Innovation award is given to businesses who can "demonstrate substantial improvement in business performance and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the size of the operation".
The WM9713L was introduced by Wolfson in 2004 and is used by companies designing PDAs, mobile phones and similar handheld mobile communications tools.
