David Milne, Chief Executive of Wolfson Microelectronics PLC has been named Personality of the Year at the Techmark awards, the UK's top technology business awards.

David Milne, Chief Executive of Wolfson Microelectronics PLC has been named Personality of the Year at the Techmark awards, the UK's top technology business awards It is the second year in succession that Wolfson has received an accolade at this prestigious ceremony

Last year Wolfson won in the Technology Innovation category.

Following the presentation ceremony David Milne commented, "I am greatly honoured to receive this sought-after award".

"It is a testament to the achievement of everyone at Wolfson, and is a tribute to our focussed and committed team worldwide".

The Personality of the Year award is given to someone whose vision, drive, energy and commitment continue to make their company successful, whilst providing that vital ingredient that enables the company to stand head and shoulders above its competitors.

David Milne was recognised in particular for his leadership skills, which have steered Wolfson to become a highly successful fabless semiconductor company.

The annual Techmark awards ceremony and dinner, hosted by the London Stock Exchange and sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, is one of the largest gatherings of technology companies in the UK.

Over the last six years it has become the event to attend for anybody involved in the UK technology markets.
