Bluetooth headset upgrades audio performance

High performance audio technology supports Aliph's goal of providing high-quality audio in the form factor of a lifestyle accessory

A high-performance audio A/D convertor from Wolfson Microelectronics has been selected by Aliph for use in its latest Jawbone Bluetooth headset, recently launched in the USA, Canada and the UK.

In the tradition of the original Jawbone, Aliph's latest product brings together science and beauty.

The new Jawbone is 50% smaller than the original and features NoiseAssassin noise elimination technology to provide even better voice quality.

Today's consumers want to make hands-free calls whenever and wherever they are, even in real-world noisy environments such as in the car or on the street.

The audio performance and intelligibility required to operate in these environments rely heavily on the integrity of the technology in the device audio signal chain.

Jawbone's NoiseAssassin technology minimises transmitted noise through digital signal processing, making calls more intelligible.

Wolfson's ADC supports this innovative technology by step converting the real-world analogue voice signal into a high quality digital format suitable for processing.
