Based on the Via VT82C694X/VT82C686B system chipset, the Rocky3742EVFG CPU board from Wordsworth Technology supports dual Intel Socket 370 Celeron processors through to a 1GHz Pentium III processor.

The board offers a wide range of features for demanding communications and performance requirements, including support for up to133MHz FSB, dual ATA-100 ports, Intel 82559 10/100Mbit/s onboard Ethernet, two IEEE 1394 communications ports, as well as Gigabit Ethernet via the NS DP83820/83861 1000BSET-T controller chipset, which supports 100 or 1000Mbit/s Ethernet.

The IEE-1394 (FireWire) multimedia connection comprises two P1394a compliant cable ports operating at 100, 200 or 400Mbit/s.

It includes two 6-wire shielded twisted-pair with two-power-lines cable.

Live connect and disconnect are supported without any loss of data, enabling transparent plug-and-play.

The onboard Gigabit Ethernet supports 1Gbit/s over unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable.

In addition, it is fully compatible with existing 10/100 Ethernet networks, providing a scalable migration path from Ethernet and Fast Ethernet to Gigabit Ethernet performance.

High-end graphics required by today's high-performance operating systems is supported via a built-in VGA function based on a SIS 6326 chip and 4Mbyte VRAM.

Other standard features include support for up to 2Gbyte SDRAM using four 168-pin DIMM sockets, two RS-232 serial ports, a parallel port, two USB ports, IrDA port, FDD socket, software programmable watchdog timer and integrated audio to AC'97 specifications.

Rocky3742EVFG also offers support for four external PCI slots and has a CompactFlash Type II socket to support Compact Flash and IBM MicroDrive HDD.

Designed to support the ATX power control function, the CPU board consumes 15A at 5V and 300mA at 12V with dual 1GHz Pentium III processors and the full 2Gbyte SDRM.

Operating temperature is 0 to 60C with CPU cooling.
