PICMG CPU board delivers 1GHz performance
Based on the Intel 810E chipset, the Rocky3782 full-size PICMG CPU board supports an Intel Socket 370 Celeron through to a 1GHz Pentium III processor.
The 370 Socket-based 64bit 66MHz CPU card is available with VGA/8Mbyte LAN (Rocky-3706EV) or with additional Gigabit LAN (Rocky-3706EVG).
Both versions support up to 133MHz FSB Tualatin, Pentium III and Celeron CPUs while maximising I/O bandwidth to provide the capability to support 64bit PCI cards for expansion.
There are two RS232 serial ports and one parallel port as well as two USB ports, a floppy disk drive port, able to support up to 1.44Mbyte I/O.
There is also an infrared capability with a single IrDA port and support for two ATA 33/66 channels.
The ATX board offers a range of features to meet demanding communications and operating requirements.
A Broadcom 5701/5703 LAN chip delivers 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet media access control, deep on-chip buffer memory and is integrated with a physical layer transceiver.
The CPU card also supports dual 10/100Mbit/s Intel devices which, with RJ45 connectors, offer fault tolerance, load balancing and network management.
High end graphics are supported by an ATI Rage XL 2D/3D VGA controller and 8Mbyte SDRAM VRAM.
Based on an Intel 1GHz CPU and 256Mbyte memory, power consumption is 8.4A at 5V and 170mA at 12V with an operating temperature of 0 to 60C with CPU cooling.
