The ICPMB-8650 mainboard also implements an AGP slot with an AGP 4X/8X bus.
"The ICPMB-8650 industrial mainboard is targeted at applications that require a cost-effective x86 solution but do not want to sacrifice reliability, flexibility, and support," said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.
"These mainboards are tested in an industrial environment and have a minimum five years product life cycle", he continued.
The ICPMB-8650 supports an onboard Compact Flash type II socket and a Gigabit Ethernet controller from either Intel or Realtek.
The following I/Os are supported: five RS232s (via pin header); one RS232/422/485 selectable; six USB2.0 (four by via pin header); two ATA-100 IDE channels; two serial ATA-150 channels; one FDD connector; one LPT parallel port (via pin header); two PS/2 interfaces for keyboard/mouse; one IrDA (via pin header); and eight inputs and eight outputs of digital I/O.
In addition four PCI slots, one ISA slot, and one PCI/ISA slot are provided for expansion.
A hardware monitor for CPU voltages and CPU/system fan speed and temperature detection is also implemented along with power management meeting ACPI 1.1 specification, a watchdog timer and an AC'97 compliant audio codec.
