The PM-1058 is a PC/104 Plus form factor dual-channel MPEG4 audio and video capture module.

The PM-1058 is a PC/104 Plus form factor dual-channel MPEG4 audio and video capture module.

MPEG4 is the state-of-the-art international standard for coding of audiovisual objects.

It defines a vast set of compression technologies and formats that address a wide range of applications and products.

The PM-1058 module implements a dual MPEG-4 encoder controller, an ALI M5273 USB2.0 host controller, a Philips SAA7113 video decoder, and an AKM 5355VT 16bit stereo audio A/D convertor.

In addition, the PCI V2.1 compliant PM-1058 module also includes 16Mbyte of onboard SDRAM, dual channel stereo audio input, and dual channel BNC video/S-video with NTSC/Pal/Secam auto sensing.

An audio bracket board (VIN-KIT-03) also ships with the PM-1058 module.

This board consists of two channels of BNC Video/S-Video and two microphone jacks.
