New from Wordsworth Technology, the PIAGP SAGP-4620E is a long lifetime socket-462 AMD based processor board.

New from Wordsworth Technology, the PIAGP SAGP-4620E is a long lifetime socket-462 AMD based processor board The SAGP-4620E supports the AMD Athlon XP (and Duron) processors with 200/266/333MHz front side bus

The SAGP-4620E board is based on the well-known Via KT400A and VT8235 chipsets, with the display being supported through the 4x/8x AGP bus connector and an addon VGA card (not supplied).

The SAGP-4620E supports up to 2Gbyte of DDR266/333/400 memory in two sockets.

The board includes six USB 2.0 ports (for high speed connection to external devices) and an Ethernet port.

Solid state memory cards are supported through a CompactFlash type II socket for safe local storage.

System security is provided by a watchdog timer and the monitoring of processor voltage, processor and system fan speeds, and temperature.

"The SAGP-4620E is a fully-featured processor mainboard with all the standard industrial PC interfaces including an AGP 8x bus, providing a very cost effective long term solution for data processing and graphical applications", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director of Wordsworth Technology.
