Capture card handles multiple channels
The IVC-4300 is a four-channel MPGE4 audio/video capture card for multichannel applications.
Wordsworth Technology has released the IVC-4300 four-channel MPGE4 audio/video capture card for multichannel applications.
It includes four channels of video and audio MPEG4 hardware encoding to provide real-time VGA quality video and stereo audio capture for each channel.
The IVC-4300 card is PCI V2.1 compliant, supporting plug and play.
The four stereo audio channels have sample rates of 44.1 and 48kHz, with an 8bit data depth, and PCM and ADPCM data formats.
The composite video input is via four BNC connectors and auto-senses NTSC, and Pal formats.
In the output stream a Pal frame rate of 25frame/s is available for each channel with resolutions of 720 x 576 and 352 x 288.
(For NTSC the frame rate is 30frame/s, and the available resolutions are 720 x 480 and 352 x 240).
Hardware control is provided for brightness, contrast, and saturation.
The video performance supports DVD quality full D1 video at 3Mbit/s, high quality full D1 video at 1Mbit/s, and high quality CIF video at 384Kbit/s.
MPEG-4 Advanced Simple-Profile at L3, MPEG-2 MP at ML, and MPEG-1 video compression is also supported.
"We are delighted to be able to offer the IVC-4300 MPEG4 audio/video capture card for DVR and streaming software applications", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.
"Drivers are available for both Windows 2000 and Windows XP and developers also have access to an SDK (software development kit) and a demonstration program for software application development", Coxhead continued.
