PICMG compliant CPU suits low-profile systems
The IP-4MTP2G is a socket 479 full-size PICMG compliant CPU card designed for the Pentium M processor.
New from Wordsworth Technology, the IP-4MTP2G is a socket 479 full-size PICMG compliant CPU card designed for the Pentium M processor.
The Wordsworth IP-4MTP2G is a low power solution, ideally suited to low profile enclosures.
The Wordsworth 4MTP2G card implements a Socket 479 supporting Pentium M processors up to 2.0GHz with a 400MHz front side bus.
The Pentium M processor is, in turn, supported by the Intel 855GME and ICH4 chipsets.
Two 184-pin DIMM sockets for up to a maximum of 2Gbyte of DDR266/333 DRAM provides the system memory.
Graphics support is provided by a VGA controller integrated within the Intel 855GME chipset along with LVDS support with up to UXGA display resolution.
The card also provides a DVI connector and VGA pin-header.
An Intel 82541G1 Gigabit Ethernet controller is implemented for 10/100/1000Base-Tx (with wake-on-LAN support).
Pin headers are also provided for four USB 2.0 ports and AC97 audio.
Two EIDE channels provide support for four Ultra ATA 100 IDE devices.
A Winbond W83627HF chip provides hardware monitoring for the processor and system temperature, voltage and fan speed.
Other features of the IP-4MTP2G card include a CompactFlash Type II socket, a WatchDog timer (256 levels software programmable), an ITE8888 PCI to ISA bridge, and a keyboard/mouse connector.
The dimensions of the card are 338 x 122mm.
"We are very pleased to be able to offer the IP-4MTP2G PICMG CPU card".
"The use of the Pentium M processor means that the card is ideal for applications that need high performance but low power", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.
"Also, since the Pentium M processor only requires a relatively small heatsink, the SBC card is able to fit within a 1U rack enclosure, opening up a wide variety of applications within this form factor", he continued.
