Wordsworth Technology has announced the introduction of the new microATX form factor fully-featured ICPMB7880 long life Intel Pentium 4/Celeron D LGA775 mainboard.

Wordsworth Technology, a supplier of industry standard computer boards, and industrial computer systems has announced the introduction of the new microATX form factor fully-featured ICPMB7880 long life Intel Pentium 4/Celeron D LGA775 mainboard.

The ICPMB-7880 mainboard supports Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron D processors with hyper-threading (HT) up to 533/800MHz front side bus and uses the Intel 915G and ICH6 chipsets.

Up to 2Gbyte of DDR 333/400 SDRAM DIMM can be accommodated in two slots.

The Intel 915G chipset includes Intel's Extreme Graphics 2 that supports a VGA port for a CRT monitor up to 2048 x 1536 at 85Hz, Direct 9X and Open GL 1.4, and a x16 PCI Express port.

A Mavell 88E8053 chip provides support for PCI Express 10/100/1000Mbit/s Ethernet.

"The ICPMB-7880 industrial microATX mainboard is targeted at applications that require a cost-effective high performance all-in-one x86 solution without sacrificing reliability, flexibility or support", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.

"These mainboards are tested in an industrial environment and have a minimum five years product life cycle", he continued.

The ICPMB-7880 also supports three RS232 (by pin header), one RS232/422/485 selectable, eight USB2.0 (four by pin header), one ATA-100 IDE channels, four serial ATA-150 channels, one FDD connector, one LPT parallel port connector, two PS/2 for keyboard/mouse, one IrDA (SIR mode), and four inputs and eight outputs of digital I/O.

In addition, one PCI Express x16 slot, two PCI Express x1 slots, and onw PCI slot are provided for expansion.

A hardware monitor for CPU voltages and CPU/system fan speed and temperature detection is also implemented along with power management meeting ACPI 1.1 specification, a watchdog timer and an AC97 compliant audio codec.
