Fabless model paves way for fast growth

Wintegra has been ranked fifth on the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA.

Fabless semiconductor company Wintegra has been ranked fifth on the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Additionally the company was ranked number one in the semiconductor sector.

rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001 to 2005.

Wintegra grew 22,422% during this period.

In addition to ranking on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500, Wintegra ranked number one on the 2006 Deloitte Israel Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in Israel.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA is one of Europe's most objective rankings for the technology, media and telecommunications industries.

It was created to recognise the effort and dedication of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in EMEA.

The awards identify the current trends that are shaping the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.

The rankings have been determined by a comparative review of the percentage growth in fiscal year revenues of the technology companies over a five-year period from 2001 to 2005.
