Camera system keeps watch over EMC tests

A Worthy Design product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Sep 27, 2004

A novel fibre optic camera system provides a robust video link to areas where high electromagnetic radiation exists, such as EMC test cells.

A new high quality fibre optic camera system is ideal for use in areas where high electromagnetic radiation exists, enabling video observation of a component/equipment in complete safety from another site.

This system can accommodate up to four cameras and they are controlled by a simple heavy-duty joystick controller.

Incorporating the latest state of the art fibre optic interfaces for camera functions and video connection, it is powered by mains or 12V DC batteries and is suitable for continuous outdoor use (IP67).

The camera measures only 400 x 197 x 330mm, making it ideal where space is at a premium.

This innovative system has applications in EMC test houses, automotive, marine, aerospace and consumer equipment test facilities.
