Xantrex Technology has been selected by Frost and Sullivan as the recipient of the 2004 growth strategy leadership award in the category of world power inverter market.
Growth strategy leadership awards are given each year to companies that demonstrate an exceptional growth strategy within their industries.
Xantrex was singled out for its significant global growth during harsh economic conditions in the power inverter industry.
"When it came to selecting this year's recipient in the category of growth strategy leadership, Xantrex was the strongest choice", said Frost and Sullivan's GV Suryanarayana Raju, Research Analyst.
"The company has an aggressive growth strategy and is executing it effectively.
We believe that Xantrex has distinguished itself in the competitive marketplace through its market focused strategy, the quality and reliability of its products, and its brand development".
In its award analysis, Frost and Sullivan highlighted Xantrex's expertise with identifying high growth potential markets and its diverse product line development as primary growth strategies.
Over the last few years, the company has successfully rebranded several popular brands of power electronics under the Xantrex brand name.
Xantrex revenues have increased from US $10 million in 1998 to US $136 million in 2003, representing a compound annual growth rate of 69%.
"In executing on our vision to become the world leader in advanced power electronics, we have grown significantly in the past five years and have created an exciting business", said Mossadiq Umedaly, Xantrex's Chairman.
"We have an outstanding team at Xantrex and we are pleased that Frost and Sullivan has recognised them as well as our strategic focus on the fast-growing distributed power, mobile power and programmable power market segments of our industry".
Last year, Xantrex received the 2003 Frost and Sullivan market penetration award in the world DC programmable power supplies market.
The Frost and Sullivan Awards Best Practices banquet will take place on 20th October 2004 in Rancho Mirage at the Rancho Los Palmas Marriott Resort and Spa Hotel.
