Programmable linear power supplies are equally at home on the bench with manual adjustment and as part of digitally controlled ATE systems.

New from Xantrex Technology is the XBT Series of programmable linear power supplies for laboratory and low-power automated test equipment applications Rated at 222W, the XBT Series provides more power than most benchtop units with two 32V, 3A outputs plus one 15V/5A/30W output, offering much more flexibility than typically found with most benchtop supplies

It is easy to use for both manual operation and computer control.

With direct keypad entry and digital encoder knob control, users can pick their preferred method of control depending on the application or user preference.

For computer control, USB and RS232 are standard and IEEE488.2/GPIB and Ethernet are optional.

"We have spent a lot of time listening to customers and studying how power supplies are used".

"This research has resulted in a power supply which appeals to the many varied uses of a bench supply", says Joe Budano, Xantrex President and General Manager, Programmable Power.

"The small form factor and computer interfaces also make it easy for our ATE users to integrate into a system".

The XBT is available now from Xantrex and its network of manufacturers' representatives and distributors.
