Sensing machine gains ICE support
Xemics and Phyton have released the first in-circuit emulator (ICE) for the XE8000 microcontroller series and sensing machines.
Microcontroller takes on smart radio applications
New from Xemics the XE88LC06 is a microcontroller for smart radio applications.
Xemics will be highlighting the XE1431 ultra-low-power Bluetooth controller for data and voice applications with a novel architecture that maximises power efficiency.
The XE1431 is based on the Xemics' EasyBlue controller which independently executes a significant part of the protocol stack.
In addition, the XE1431 includes an on-chip audio codec as well as an application controller with its high speed UART, SPI interface, RC oscillator, I/Os and power management unit.
The true 1.8V design in combination with the ultralow current consumption guarantees Xemics' leadership in providing the lowest power Bluetooth solutions on the market.
By combining the XE1431 with the Bluetooth radio recently licensed from Skyworks, a Flash-based headset can be built consuming less than 20mW at 1.8V.
Xemics will also be demonstrating the recently released TrueRF multichannel, narrowband, ETSI-compliant transceiver for operation in the 433/868/915MHz bands.
As with all the TrueRF products, the XE1205 offers superior performances with +15dBm output power and high sensitivity without the need for SAW filters or external power amplifiers.
The XE1205 is ideal for applications such as social alarms, security, automatic metering, services and control as well as remote keyless entry.
Xemics' products provide sensing, local processing and communication.
They deliver sound/voice, pressure, temperature, acceleration, time, position, speed, or other types of data through a short-range wireless link.
Bluetooth and wireless applications are driven by the consumer's desire for long battery life and Xemics prides itself on its ability to mix RF, analogue and digital processing in a highly integrated ultra-low-power system requiring a small BOM.
Development tools and reference designs to speed up customer product development and qualifications are part of Xemics' commitment to quality customer service.
