Bishop puts quality first at Xicor
Wayne Bishop has been appointed director of quality and reliability at Xicor, reporting to Todd Smathers, Xicor's senior vice president of operations.

Bishop brings over 30 years experience directing engineering, quality and foundry services in the mixed-signal semiconductor arena.
During his 13 years at IMP he held several positions embracing foundry services, engineering and engineering quality.
Bishop served as vice president and plant manager for AMI Semiconductors in his 18-year tenure as well as director of wafer fabrication.
He received an MSEE and a BSEE from Utah State University.
According to Todd Smathers, "Bishop will be responsible for implementing a six-sigma culture and will be a major contributor in leading Xicor on our path to excellence in product quality and reliability".
