High-accuracy reference targets portable uses
The X60008A-50 is an extremely stable, highly accurate, low-power 5V voltage reference that is ideal for use in battery powered high-resolution data-acquisition systems.
The X60008A-50 is an extremely stable, highly accurate, low-power 5V voltage reference that is ideal for use in battery powered high-resolution data-acquisition systems.
Fabricated using Xicor's proprietary FGA floating gate analogue technology, the X60008A-50 features guaranteed 1ppm/C maximum temperature coefficient, absolute initial accuracy of +/-0.5mV maximum, and extremely low, 10ppm thermal hysteresis.
The device's operating current consumption is typically 500nA with guaranteed 10mA source and sink capability, and 80mA continuous short circuit current.
Although initial accuracy is typically the first consideration when selecting a precision voltage reference, the temperature coefficient must also be considered due to the impact of temperature variation on the reference output voltage.
Even devices with very tight initial accuracy specifications will be adversely impacted by temperature changes.
Xicor's X60008A-50 is tested and guaranteed to be 1ppm/C maximum over the full 125-degree (-40 to +85C) span of the industrial operating temperature range.
The accuracy and thermal stability performance of the X60008A-50 - in addition to its low power consumption - make the device an ideal companion to high resolution, low power data conversion systems.
The X60008AIS8-50 in 8-lead SOIC is available now.
Xicor will continue to expand its FGA voltage reference family with options that feature additional reference voltages, higher initial accuracy and continuing improvements in temperature coefficients and thermal hysteresis.
