With shipment of the SXT platform, the third of four Virtex-5 FPGA platforms, Xilinx brings the performance, power and cost benefits of the leading-edge 65nm process node to system developers 12 months in advance of competing solutions.
"This milestone underscores the value that Virtex has delivered to over 10,000 unique customers over the last ten years", said Xilinx President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Wim Roelandts.
"Built on a solid foundation of over 1200 patents, Virtex Series FPGAs today can be found at the heart of 'triple play' infrastructure systems".
