Switcher delivers 300W without forced
air
The JPS350 is a 1U-compatible 350W switching power supply that can deliver up to 300W without the need for forced air cooling.
New from power supply specialist XP, the JPS350 is a 1U-compatible 350W switching power supply that can deliver up to 300W without the need for forced air cooling This is typically 50% better than the convection cooled performance of competitors' products

Small supplies increase power density
Compact single-output 25W AC/DC power supplies are available in three configurations and with a choice of seven different outputs.
DC/DC convertors save PCB space
XP Power has released new additions to its I series of low power isolated DC/DC convertors.
Full power rating can be achieved with 18ft3/min airflow.
The ability to deliver nearly full power without forced air cooling cuts costs and complexity for the system designer and avoids subsequent problems with fan noise.
With up to 90% nominal efficiency at full load, achieved using zero-voltage switching techniques, the JPS350 produces minimum heat to help achieve maximum system reliability.
Input voltage is from 85 to 264V AC or 170 to 370V DC and outputs are 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48V DC at +/-1% tolerance.
The JPS350 is a new addition to a product family that also includes 130 and 250W units.
It is the smallest single output power supply in its class with a power density of 0.3W/cm3, and measures 230 x 127 x 41mm.
This makes it ideal for use in instrumentation and displays, where space is often limited, and for telecommunications and broadcast applications, where it fits into 1U racks.
Fans covers are optional where forced air cooling is used.
Other features of the power supply include +/-5% output voltage adjustment, +/-0.5% line regulation, +/-1% load regulation, and +/-1% maximum peak-to-peak ripple and noise.
Hold up time is 20ms at low line and the power supply remote sense function compensates for up to 0.5V drop in output.
A remote on/off facility is provided and single-wire current sharing enables up to four units to be operated in parallel.
There is integral protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature situations.
The JPS350 has an MTBF of at greater than 100kh (to MIL-HDBK-217F).
All models meet international safety and EMC specifications, including EN61000-3-2, -3, and carry EN, UL and CSA approval.
