The F7 modular AC/DC power unit from XP measures 266.7 x 127 x 63.5mm and is the smallest of its type currently available.

The size reduction has been achieved with improved component packing density and an innovative new mechanical layout.

The industry-leading power supply accommodates plug-in modules to provide a maximum of nine floating outputs between 1.9 and 150V DC.

Outputs can be connected in series or parallel, the latter using active current sharing, so the F7 is a flexible power solution that can be used as a lower cost, readily available alternative to custom designed power supplies.

The rugged design has a universal AC input with integral power factor correction and 40A maximum peak inrush current.

The outputs are adjustable by +/-5% and have maximum ripple and noise of 50mV or 1% peak-to-peak, whichever is greater.

Line regulation is typically 0.1% and load regulation is 1% maximum for single output modules and 2% for dual or triple output modules.

The F7 has overvoltage protection at 115 to 140% of nominal, depending on the individual module and output, and overload protection which operates at 140% of nominal rating.

The power supply has a comprehensive signal set including a TTL-compatible inhibit function, DC OK signal, power fail indication and a 5V/1A housekeeping rail for powering external control circuits.

The F7 operates over an ambient temperature range 0 to +70C and has international EMC and safety approvals.

It is available fully configured within 48h, as are other 300 to 2000W configurable power supplies in the same product family.
