Medical supplies simplify compliance
Fully approved to medical safety and EMC specifications, two new switching power supplies cut system time to market by simplifying the task of obtaining compliance for medical equipment.
Fully approved to medical safety and EMC specifications IEC601-1 and IEC6101-1-2, the new PBM25 (25-28W) and PBM65 (65W) AC/DC switching power supplies cut system time to market by cutting the time it takes to get compliance approvals for medical systems.
Both power supplies are suitable for use in-patient monitoring equipment, drug delivery systems and other medical applications.
The compact units have extremely low leakage currents, approximately half of the legal maximum.
They feature both live and neutral fusing and, unlike many medically approved power supplies, meet stringent EN55011 Curve B conducted EMI specifications, making then suitable for all applications, even in RF-rich environments.
The PBM25 is available in single, dual and triple output versions.
Output 1 ranges from +5.1 to +28V nominal, output 2 is +12, +15 or +24V, and output 3 is -12 or -15V.
The power supply measures 108 x 64 x 24mm.
Minimum MTBF is 500kh (MIL-HDBK-217F).
The PBM65 is a single-output unit offering between 5.1 and 28V DC.
It measures 127 x 76 x 32mm.
Minimum MTBF is 400kh (MIL-HDBK-217F).
Both power supplies have universal AC inputs and are offered with a wide range of covers and connector kits.
They have integral overvoltage and overcurrent protection, 4kV AC input-to-output protection, and operate over an ambient temperature range of 0 to +70C.
