Switchers boast maximum density
With the highest available power density for PSUs of their type, the SMQ300 and SMQ400 ranges of low cost AC/DC switch mode units enable more functions to be accommodated in a given enclosure.
With power density of 6.25W/in3, the highest available for power supplies of this kind, the SMQ300 and SMQ400 ranges of low cost AC/DC switch mode units enable more compact equipment to be produced or more functions to be accommodated within a given enclosure space Capable of peak loads at up to 2.3 times nominal output current ratings, these power supplies also eliminate the need to specify larger, more powerful, more expensive models to handle peak conditions

Dual-output DC/DC convertors suit military use
The MTC15 and MTC30 DC/DC convertors' feedback loop constantly monitors both outputs in order to provide a high degree of load regulation.
Small supplies increase power density
Compact single-output 25W AC/DC power supplies are available in three configurations and with a choice of seven different outputs.
These models have internal cooling fans and comprehensive overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.
The SMQ300 and SMQ400 provide single outputs between 12 and 54V DC from a universal AC input with efficiencies up to 85%.
The units also have remote sense, DC-OK and remote on/off functions.
Battery charging versions, suited to use in standby systems, are also available.
The power supplies meet all relevant EMC specifications and have UL, CSA, EN and CE international safety approvals.
Active power factor correction is built-in, giving a typical power factor of 0.99.
Outputs are adjustable by +/-5%.
There is no minimum load requirement and line and load regulation are within +/-1%.
Typical noise and ripple is +/-0.5%.
The power supplies operate from 0 to +70C ambient with linear derating from 100% load at +50C to 50% at +70C.
They feature input and output screw terminals for ease of installation.
500 and 600W power supplies in the SMQ family were released earlier this year so the complete product range now provides output voltages from 3.3 to 54V DC and peak power outputs up to 1kW.
All are suitable for general industrial applications and for powering broadcast, telecomms, process control and test systems.
Standard units are available from stock, with modified standards available for quantities as low as 25 units and prototypes taking less than 2 weeks.
