Compact switcher has medical approvals bonus
Approved for Class I and Class II applications, the ECM range of single output AC/DC, 40-60W power supplies from XP feature the world's smallest footprint of their type.
Approved for Class I and Class II applications, the ECM range of single output AC/DC, 40-60W power supplies from XP feature the world's smallest footprint of their type.
Both are just 50.8 x 101.6mm and 30.48mm high.
Furthermore, these high-density power supplies meet EN55022 Level B EMI/EMC specifications with maximum leakage currents of 100uA at 115V AC or 200uA at 230V AC; many low-leakage power supplies only meet Level A, a much less stringent specification.
As a result, these switchers are equally suitable for industrial, IT and medical applications, with no price premium for meeting medical requirements.
The ECM40-60 series have outputs from 5 to 48V DC, adjustable by +/-10%, and universal AC inputs.
They are dual-fused for compliance with IEC60601-1 and efficiency is 80-85%, depending on the model, so minimal excess heat is generated.
The power supplies deliver full power between -10 and +50C and will operate at up to +80C with derating and only 142 litre/min of cooling.
Comprehensive overvoltage, overload and short circuit protection is built in.
Covers, looms and connector kits are available.
