DC/DC convertors save PCB space
XP Power has released new additions to its I series of low power isolated DC/DC convertors.
The EMC precompliance laboratory will provide a free service to enable XP customers to test their complete electronic systems before applying for regulatory approval.
This will reduce the risk, and considerable costs, of equipment failing formal approval.
In addition, the test facility will enable experimentation with EMC filtering and cabling prior to formal qualification so that the most cost-effective solution can be found.
This prevents systems having to be over-engineered to be certain of gaining approval.
In addition to manufacturing power supplies, XP is a distributor for Schaffner products, so is able to offer both technical support and the products needed to achieve the required EMC performance for systems.
Managing Director of XP Power, Holger Schierenbeck, said: "Our business is now expanding in Germany, particularly with industrial and medical OEMs".
"We have a particularly strong product range for medical electronics applications, hence the appointment of a medical specialist, and we aim to provide our customers with a fast and flexible service for all of our products, most of which are now designed and manufactured by XP".
"We also offer cost-effective customisation and other engineering services to support the individual needs of our growing customer base".
