Housed in a package measuring just 168 x 78 x 43mm and weighing 800g, the PCM80 from XP is a compact, 80W external power supply for medical applications.

Housed in a package measuring just 168 x 78 x 43mm and weighing 800g, the PCM80 from XP is a compact, 80W external power supply for medical applications Available in a choice of 15 single, nine dual, and six triple-output versions, it features less than 300uA leakage current at 230V AC and has 4kV AC isolation from input to output - both essential requirements for patient safety

To comply with European safety agency requirements both line and neutral are fused.

Active power factor correction ensures EN61000-3-2/-3 compliance and the power supply operates at 83% typical efficiency with noise and ripple of less than 1% peak-to-peak.

The PCM80 has a universal AC input of 90 to 240V AC and line regulation of +/-1% maximum at full rated load.

Load regulation is within +/-5%, except for the 3.3V model, where it is within +/-7%.

Overvoltage protection is provided on output 1 and overcurrent protection, with auto recovery, applies to all outputs.

The power supply operates from 0 to +70C ambient with linear derating from 100% load at +40C to 50% load at +70C.

The product family has medical safety approvals to all major agencies and meets EN55011 (CISPR11) Class B for conducted and radiated emissions.

The PCM80 has sample availability from stock, lead time for production orders is 8 weeks.
