Mil-Spec DC/DC convertors live long and prosper
Instead of using optocouplers, XP's full Mil-Spec DC/DC convertors use a patented magnetic feedback solution to deliver long-term reliability.
The DSF200LV is a 200W unit for use in 24/28V power systems in military vehicles, aircraft and naval vessels.
It enables system compliance with MIL-STD-461E CE102 and DEF STAN 59-41 DCE01/DCE02 for electromagnetic compatibility and MIL-STD-1275A/B and DEF STAN 61-5 Part 6 for surge and transient suppression.
The module has an input voltage range of 9 to 36V DC and is clamped at a maximum output voltage of 36V DC.
It is rated at 7A continuous output with a baseplate temperature between -40 and +100C.
The filter is 92 to 98% efficient, so generates minimal heat.
Under no-load conditions it consumes 50uA.
The device has low-loss reverse voltage protection and has a series resistance of 0.26ohm.
It has been tested and proven with XP Power's JTA, ICH, DCH, V24 and VI Series DC/DC convertors.
The DSF200LV measures 61.2 x 36.8 x 13mm.
It is designed for PCB mounting and is housed in a conductively plated steel case with an aluminium baseplate for cooling.
