The Datum-Y has a range of serial and parallel communications interfaces including USB, Ethernet, GPIB, RS485 and RS232.
It can function as a web server or FTP server or client, and also features an e-mail delivery function.
The unit has 16Mbyte of internal memory, and additional storage can be provided by CF or SD memory cards or by a USB memory stick.
External memory can be used to provide auto-set and auto-run functions.
The instrument also has a universal input which makes it suitable for a wide range of measurements, including DC voltage up to 30V, all common thermocouples and RTD temperature sensors, and pulse and logic signals.
The Datum-Y is available in eight- and 16-channel versions.
Minimum sampling time is 100ms on eight channels and 200ms on 16 channels, and can be set at a number of values up to a maximum of one hour.
Alarm and trigger functions are included, and data can be manipulated using differential computation, linear scaling and statistical calculations.
The Datum-Y can be used in conjunction with clamp-on power meters and luminance meters for electrical or optical measurements, and a rubber boot is available for increased impact resistance and environmental protection.
